ERASMUS-YOUTH-TOG European Youth Together: the application, step by step
What the official form asks, how it is scored, and how you write it in AvenEU. Updated 2026-10-06 from the Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2026 and the ERASMUS-YOUTH-2026-YOUTH-TOG topic page.
AvenEU works on the latest published call documents; a new call's documents may differ.
What it is
European Youth Together is an Erasmus+ action for projects run by a consortium of at least 5 organisations from 5 countries in the youth field. Unlike most Erasmus+ actions, it is submitted to the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) in Brussels, not to a National Agency. The grant is a lump sum fixed from the detailed budget table, up to €500,000 per project.
- Who can apply
- Legal entities established in an EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme: NGOs (including European Youth NGOs and national Youth Councils) working in the field of youth, and public authorities at local, regional or national level. For-profit organisations may also participate, but not as coordinator.
- Minimum consortium
- A consortium of at least 5 applicants (beneficiaries, not affiliated entities) from at least 5 EU Member States and/or third countries associated to the Programme. Associated partners are allowed, but affiliated entities and associated partners do not count towards the minimum. Activities must take place in an EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme.
- Duration
- Normally 24 months; extensions are possible if duly justified, through an amendment.
- Grant
- A lump sum fixed by the granting authority from the estimated project budget you build in the detailed budget table, the evaluation result and a funding rate of 80%. Maximum EU contribution per project: €500,000.
- Deadlines
- Deadlines are set in each call. Check the current deadline on the call's topic page on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
- How many applications
- The same organisation can submit only one application as coordinator by the deadline.
How it is scored
| Criterion | Maximum | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Relevance of the project | 30 | 15 |
| Quality of the project design and implementation | 30 | 15 |
| Quality of the partnership and the cooperation arrangements | 20 | 10 |
| Impact | 20 | 10 |
To be considered for funding, applications must score at least 60 points, also taking into account the necessary minimum pass score for each of the four award criteria (i.e. minimum 15 points for the categories ‘Relevance of the project‘ and ’Quality of the project design and implementation"; 10 points for the categories of ’Quality of the partnership and the cooperation arrangements‘ and ’Impact’).
Ex-aequo proposals will be prioritised according to the scores they have been awarded for the award criterion ‘Relevance’. When these scores are equal, priority will be based on their scores for the combined criteria ‘Quality’. When these scores are equal, priority will be based on their scores for the criterion ‘Impact’.
