Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 July 2026
1. Service
AvenEU is an AI-assisted platform for EU funding discovery and proposal writing, operated by AvenEU SRL, a company based in Brussels, Belgium, and built and hosted within the European Union. It is a support tool only — it does not guarantee funding success and does not replace official EU application systems.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account you accept these Terms. The minimum age to use AvenEU is 18.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of your organisation data and proposal content. You must not share your account credentials.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use AvenEU to:
- engage in illegal activity;
- submit false information to EU bodies; or
- attempt to reverse-engineer the platform.
5. AI Disclaimer
The EUri AI assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude models, accessed via the Claude API. The specific model version may change over time, as described in Section 13.3. EUri provides suggestions based on official EU programme guidelines, publicly available evaluation criteria, and best practices for EU funding applications.
AI output may contain inaccuracies, errors, outdated information, or bias. AvenEU makes no representations or warranties — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any specific funding application.
ALL AI OUTPUT MUST BE REVIEWED, VERIFIED, AND APPROVED BY THE USER BEFORE USE OR SUBMISSION. The user is solely responsible for the final content of any proposal or application submitted to any EU body or funding authority.
AvenEU is not liable, under any circumstances, for:
- the outcome of any funding application, whether successful or unsuccessful;
- any decision made by a funding authority based on AI-assisted content;
- any inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in AI-generated suggestions;
- any loss, damage, or cost arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
Use of AI-assisted features is entirely at the user's own risk. For full details on how proposal content is processed by Anthropic, see our Privacy Policy.
All user data is stored and processed within the European Union, with the sole exception of AI analysis, which is processed by our AI sub-processor under Standard Contractual Clauses as detailed in the Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
The AvenEU platform, design, and underlying technology are owned by AvenEU. User-created content — including proposals and project data — remains the property of the user.
7. Subscription & Payments
Free and paid plans are available. Paid plans are billed as described on the Pricing page. Except where the statutory right of withdrawal described in Section 8 applies, no refunds are issued for partial billing periods. AvenEU reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice.
8. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
Consumers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services within fourteen (14) days of the conclusion of that contract, without giving any reason.
Access to the paid service begins immediately on payment. For that reason, you are asked at checkout to expressly request that performance of the contract begins during the withdrawal period.
Where you made that request and you then withdraw within the fourteen (14) day period, you are entitled to a refund reduced in proportion to the service already supplied up to the moment you inform us of your withdrawal.
Where you have paid but have not given that consent, or where access to the paid service has not begun, you are entitled to a full refund. Any refund due will be made within fourteen (14) days of your notification.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, use our withdrawal form, which is available without signing in. You may also notify us by any clear statement sent to the address given on our Contact page.
This section applies to consumers. It does not apply to business customers acting in a professional capacity.
9. Termination
AvenEU may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Users may delete their account at any time from the Settings page.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Belgian or EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any non-waivable statutory consumer rights.
Subject to the above, AvenEU is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data, or grant funding.
Subject to the same, AvenEU's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the total fees paid by the user to AvenEU in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
AvenEU is also not liable for:
- the outcome of funding applications;
- data loss beyond reasonable backup practices; or
- outages of third-party services (Supabase, Vercel, Anthropic, and others).
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels.
Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence. EU-based consumers may also bring proceedings in their local courts and may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Changes to these Terms
Material changes will be notified by email. Continued use of AvenEU after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. AI-Specific Terms
13.1 No Guarantee of Funding Success
AvenEU and its AI tools do not guarantee, represent, or warrant that use of the platform will result in a successful funding application. Funding decisions are made exclusively by the relevant EU bodies, national agencies, or funding authorities, and are entirely outside AvenEU's control.
13.2 User Responsibility for Submissions
The user is solely and fully responsible for:
- reviewing all AI-generated suggestions before use;
- verifying the accuracy of all proposal content;
- ensuring compliance with the requirements of the relevant funding call;
- all content submitted to any EU portal or funding authority.
AvenEU is a support tool only. It does not replace professional grant writing advice, legal advice, or official EU application systems.
13.3 AI Model Updates
AvenEU may update the underlying AI models used by EUri at any time. EUri is powered by Anthropic's Claude models, accessed via the Claude API, as disclosed in the About EUri panel within the proposal editor and in our Privacy Policy. We identify the model family rather than a specific version, as the version may change over time to improve quality and performance.
13.4 PDF Export & AI Disclosure
Documents exported from AvenEU include an AI Assistance Disclosure statement identifying which sections received AI-assisted analysis. This disclosure is included for transparency and compliance with applicable AI regulations (including EU AI Act Article 50). Users must not remove or alter this disclosure when sharing exported documents.
