KA210 Small-scale Partnerships: the application, step by step
What the official form asks, how it is scored, and how you write it in AvenEU. Updated 2026-09-12 from the Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2026.
What it is
Small-scale Partnerships are the entry point to Erasmus+ cooperation funding, designed for newcomers and for smaller organisations with limited administrative capacity. They ask for a smaller grant over a shorter period than Cooperation Partnerships, with a simpler form and lighter requirements — two partners rather than three, and a shorter project. The aim is to widen access to the programme rather than to fund large-scale development work.
- Who can apply
- Any organisation established in an EU Member State or a third country associated to the Programme. An organisation may apply once per deadline.
- Minimum partnership
- At least two organisations from two different EU Member States or third countries associated to the Programme.
- Fields
- SCH · VET · ADU · YOU
- Duration
- 6 to 24 months.
- Lump sums
- €30,000 · €60,000 — you choose one of the three.
- Deadlines
- 5 March, 12:00 Brussels time. Second round: 1 October, 12:00 Brussels time, where the National Agency opens an additional round.
- How many applications
- One organisation may appear in at most 5 applications per deadline, whether as applicant or as partner.
- Informal groups of young people — the applicant must be an organisation.
- Organisations from third countries not associated to the Programme. Unlike KA220, Small-scale Partnerships are open ONLY to organisations established in an EU Member State or a third country associated to the Programme — there is no essential-added-value route in as a partner.
How it is scored
| Criterion | Maximum | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Relevance of the project | 30 | 15 |
| Quality of the project design and implementation | 30 | 15 |
| Quality of the partnership and cooperation arrangements | 20 | 10 |
| Impact | 20 | 10 |
To be considered for funding a proposal must score at least 60 points out of 100. It must also score at least half the maximum on every single criterion, which is the minimum column above.
A proposal scoring 64 overall but 9 on impact is rejected. Clearing the overall threshold is not enough on its own — one criterion below its minimum ends the application, however strong the rest is.
Where two proposals score the same overall, the one scoring higher on relevance is ranked first; if those are equal too, the higher score on impact decides.

The limits you cannot see
Every field has a character limit that does not appear in the Commission's PDF template — it only becomes visible once the call opens and you are inside the live form. AvenEU carries these limits, verified against the live form of the latest round, and enforces them as you write.
How you write it in AvenEU
- ✦The form itself, with the real sections in the official order — you write inside the structure the assessors will read, not a blank document.
- ✦EUri analyses each section against the criterion that actually scores it, using the correct maximum and the minimum that criterion must reach.
- ✦A lump-sum budget calculator that works per work package, matching how the grant is actually justified.
- ✦Partner management, so each organisation's role and country is held once and reused across the proposal.
- ✦Export in the structure of the official form, section by section, for transfer into the submission system.
