KA220 Cooperation Partnerships: the application, step by step

What it is

Cooperation Partnerships are the main Erasmus+ action for organisations that want to work together across borders on a shared project over one to three years. They fund the work itself — developing methods, materials, training and practice — rather than sending individuals abroad. They are awarded as a lump sum chosen from three fixed amounts, and assessed against four scored criteria.

Who can apply

Any organisation established in an EU Member State or a third country associated to the Programme, legally established at least two years before the application deadline.

Minimum partnership

At least three organisations from three different EU Member States or third countries associated to the Programme.

Deadlines

5 March, 12:00 Brussels time. Second round: 1 October, 12:00 Brussels time, where the National Agency opens a second round.

How many applications

One organisation may appear in at most 10 applications per deadline, whether as applicant or as partner.

How it is scored

To be considered for funding a proposal must score at least 70 points out of 100. It must also score at least half the maximum on every single criterion, which is the minimum column above.

A proposal scoring 74 overall but 9 on partnership is rejected. Clearing the overall threshold is not enough on its own — one criterion below its minimum ends the application, however strong the rest is.

Where two proposals score the same overall, the one scoring higher on relevance is ranked first; if those are equal too, the higher score on impact decides.
